In an great finish the Dominican Republicans won in dramatic fashion over the Columbus Crowd by a score of 5 to 4 at the ballpark. Dominican won the game with a rally in the bottom of the 9th inning scoring 2 runs utilizing 2 base hits. Matt Holliday led off and keyed the rally when he reached on an error. Alfonso Soriano stepped up next and he laced a one-base hit. Jason Larue then doubled giving Dominican the victory as 6,580 happy fans celebrated wildly. Both teams totaled 8 on the afternoon. Dustin Hermanson(5-2) went 2 and 1/3 innings allowing no runs for the victory. John Parrish(7-4) suffered the loss in relief. He pitched 1 inning and surrendered 5 hits and no walks. 'We just wouldn't give up,' Nomar Garciaparra said. 'Much of the credit goes to our fans - they were with us the whole way.'
